Music From The Heart

We’re well into birthday season for me now so lots of card making. This one was made for my dad’s birthday. He’s a pianist, so of course I had to get to get the new Music From The Heart stamp set from Stampin’ Up!

I stamped the keyboards directly onto the Whisper White background, but also onto some scrap. I hand cut 3 of the scrap keyboards and popped them up using Stampin’ Dimensionals to add some depth and interest.

Given the monochrome nature of this card it required very few supplies (linked below). The sentiment, keyboard and notes are all from the same stamp set. There are more sentiments so lots of options for stand alone cards.

If I’m honest, the ribbon came about due to an ink smudge and need for a cover up! I think it needed it though, so worked out well. Tying a knot rather than a bow wasn’t just me being laze, I think for this card it works better. What do you think?

The black enamel dots are made using Nuvo Crystal Drop in Ebony Black. These come in a little bottle and you can made them as big or little as you like, though they take a while to dry.

I hope you like the card and thanks for reading.
