This card was made for friend and co-worker with a soft spot for port and a big birthday. The Sip Sip Hooray! stamp set seemed perfect for the occasion, particularly as we went out for a few glasses after work to celebrate!
I made the background using the retired stamp set, Blackberry Bliss, Merry Merlot, Night of Navy and Smoky Slate ink pads. With a few retired rhinestones and ribbon to match.
On the inside of the card I repeated the port DSP for the middle panel, along with a group sentiment from the new Welcome To The Team stamp set. The top and bottom panels are mostly blank to allow for work colleagues to all sign the card. I couldn’t resist throwing a few 50’s in to mark the occasion though. The numbers are from the “Family Party” stamp set, which is becoming a real staple in my collection.
I actually ended up making extra pages for more colleagues to sign. These were added either side of the middle panel and it ended up as more of a book than a card! It worked well though and the end result was pretty special.
I was really pleased with the way the rich colours worked together and I think they tie in great with the theme. Do you like? Has it inspired you to tackle a group card yourself?
