Utensils! Oh how I love kitchenware, so I couldn’t resist buying this die set “Apron Builder” from Stampin’ Up!. It’s still available “while stocks last” and comes with an accompanying stamp set “Apron of Love” which I used for the sentiment.
I bought a couple of little gifts for my parents – a car air freshener for my step dad and a small candle for my mum. So the boxes were custom sized to fit the gifts. Yes I went very typical with the boy/girl version but I wanted to try out the dual purpose. My step dad is a meat fiend so the BBQ angle works well!
I have seen more varied uses of this set – such as a crafting apron! So I’ll be trying out some other options in the future. It’s fun to experiment with what different styles you can make using the same product and it helps you get even more for your pennies. Pinterest is generally the first place I’ll go to look for inspiration on what other people have done with their products.
The method for this is pretty straightforward. Just different colours of card and cutting out the elements with the die set. I used a blend pen for the handles and Nuvo Crystal glaze to add shine to the utensils, which really made a big difference. They are so so cute.
Thanks for reading, and as usual links to supplies used are shown below.
