Whiskey Business Expanding Star Card

Showstopper of a card to share today! I made this for my recent 2nd wedding anniversary so wanted something special.

It may look familiar as I “upgraded” a card shared a couple of month’s ago (you can check it out here). It’s showcasing the Whiskey Business stamp set and In Good Taste patterned paper.

As it was our 2nd “cotton” anniversary, the patterned paper was even better as I used the textile design for the front and inside of the card. Quite pleased with myself on that!

The card is untied and pops open showing all of the pages or sides of the star. It can then be pulled round to fully extend and the ribbon tied to hold into shape.

Here it is fully open in all it’s glory and you can see where the “star” name came from.

This style of fancy fold card was designed by Sam from Mixed Up Craft, you can see her original and a tutorial here.

To create the bottles and glasses I coloured with Stampin’ Blends as usual, but I then layered stamped window sheets (acetate) on top using adhesive sheets. It was so worth the extra effort as the effect is gorgeous and really gives the impression of glass. I got the idea for this from Patty Bennett at Patty Stamps.

I hope you like it and consider giving it a go. Time consuming but not as difficult as it may look. 🙂 Links to the shop are below if you’re interested in a closer look at any of the products I’ve used.

Thanks for reading,
Sam xx
