Pinewood Plank Flower Card

This is the card I made my mum for her birthday. Simple but beautiful. 🙂

I love a bit of dry embossing, though don’t do it often enough. It uses the same machine as die cutting but instead of metal dies to cut through paper you use plastic embossing folders that press patterns into the card.

I used the Pinewood Planks embossing folder here on Early Espresso card. All I needed to do was trim it to size and glue it down. Easy!

For the flowers I coloured in some True Love patterned paper with Stampin’ Blends and hand cut them out. They are then popped up on the card using foam dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Here’s a Card stamp set. This is one of my favourites for sentiments and is so versatile. It is retiring soon so get your hands on it while you can! Same goes for the True Love patterned paper and the Pinewood Planks embossing folder!
