Dragonfly Garden Frame Box

Today’s post is featuring the Dragonfly Garden bundle and some other items from the Dandy Garden suite. I found this cool frame at IKEA for a mere £4 and the default picture it comes with is a dragonfly. It was meant to be!

I decided to make a custom gift box for it and this is the result. The colours I used are Crushed Curry and Mossy Meadow. Not a pairing I think I’ve used before but I like it!

I used the Dragonfly punch to cut out a green dragonfly from one of the matching patterned papers and also added a Ladybug Trinket because they’re so stinking cute. I also used another piece of patterned paper for the front and finished off tying the box with the matching linen trim.

Here is a view of the top and the inside of the box without the frame.

Inside the box I decorated with yet another pattern from the designer series papers. I think this looks great against the frame as the frame is see through it was a bit plain without it. The frame is pretty heavy so I added a reinforced base using some thick card left over from packaging.

I got the frame from IKEA for £4 and it’s called LERBODA Frame, dark grey16x16 cm. If you want some variation you can easily change motif in the frame. It can be used hanging or standing to fit in the space available.

I hope you like it and thanks for reading!
