Essential Tag Punch Ferrero Boxes

It’s new catalogue time! The Stampin’ Up! Autumn/Winter 2020 Mini Catalogue is now live with a whole host of goodies. So that means it’s also time for a Pootlers blog hop! Huzzah!

The catalogue has loads of Christmas goodies as well as halloween, autumnal and wintery. I decided to show you a stamp and punch bundle that’s massively versatile, the Everything Essential Bundle.

I’ve used the Essential Tag punch to build these little boxes that perfectly house Ferrero Rochers. Perfect for party favours, or table gifts/dinner table treats. The boxes are decorated using the Everything Essential stamp set. It has 2 Christmas, 2 Halloween and 2 Love themed images so I had to try them all. As well as using the small images to decorate the sides of the boxes so I’ve given it a great test run!

Christmas Theme:

I went for a silvery/blue palette for my Christmas boxes. Pool Party, Gray Granite and Seaside Spray, all with matching ribbon. I love matchy matchy! The boxes are all decorated with embellishments, these boxes show off two of the new embellishments: Adhesive-backed Snowflakes and Blue Adhesive-backed Gems. Since I have 3 different themes here I used 3 different types of ferreros! Raffaello for Christmas, standard Ferrero Rocher for Love and Rondnoir (my favourite) for Halloween.

Love/Valentines Theme:

Bolder colours for these boxes: Basic Gray, Olive Olive and Real Red (of course). You’ll notice I played around with adding the ribbon to the boxes. On some I punch holes in the sides and fed it through, others I left the sides off the boxes. Others I tied the ribbon up the corners of the boxes, so that it sits in the curves at the top. A little fiddly to do but not too bad! I particularly enjoyed the Real Red box ribbon. I used two different pieces of ribbon so the two bows crossing at the top looks so pretty.

Halloween Theme:

Last but not least (as I love Halloween!). Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie and Misty Moonlight. This spider web metallic mesh ribbon is a new catalogue product and I love it. I’ve seen it used on non-Halloween products too and it looks beautiful. You can see below that leaving the sides off the box and using black cardstock gives a coffin type shape. I didn’t go down that route today but might have to explore! For the pumpkin box, I decorated the sides with stripes of Stampin’ Blends in Pumpkin Pie, though not obvious to see below. I love the tone on tone bats on the Misty Moonlight box! 🙂

So, that’s my Essential Tag punch Ferrero box and the Everything Essentials stamp set! As well as a few other new goodies.

Instructions for Essential Tag Punch Box:

1. Cut coloured cardstock to 12cm x 12cm
2. Score at 4cm and 8 cm on both sides
3. Build standard box
4. Use Essentials Tag Punch to cut out matching cardstock – 2 or 4 times, these are the sides
5. Decorate 2/4 sides as desired and adhere to side of box
   • Use Essentials Tag Punch in Whisper White. Trim all sides to create a border.
   • Optional: Punch holes in 2 sides to pull through ribbon
6. Pop in the Ferrero Rocher
7. Tie up with matching ribbon
8. Done!
