Honey Bee Celebrations

Today I’m showing off two rather beautiful cards if I do say so myself! Hard not to make beautiful creations with these products. The paper is so lush and the dies are gorgeous.

The black and gold patterned papers are from two different sheets in the pack. The stripes for the hive and hexagons for the background. The extra hexagons are cut outs from the honeycomb and are popped up with dimensionals.

So here’s card number two! No Gold Foil or patterned paper in this one. Just the Honey Bee bundle.

After cutting the bee out in black and yellow, I pieced in the body and added vellum backing for the wings. The pictures show the effect but don’t do the wings justice. I stamped vellum with Crushed Curry ink for the hive which I think looks great too.

I used wink of stellar to glitter up some plain black card as a matting layer, but the bee is quite rightly the star of the show.
