Retiring Favourites: InspireInk Blog Hop

Hello! This morning I’m taking part in my first InspireInk Blog Hop. The theme is Retiring Favourites from Stampin’ Up! I’ve chosen to showcase the Blow Out The Candles Photopolymer Bundle in retiring In Colours 2017-2019 Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig.

This is actually my first set of stamp and dies from Stampin’ Up! as I chose it in my starter kit last year. So it holds a special place for me 🙂 The start of this obsession!

So I cut a piece of Tranquil Tide card stock to the size of my card base. I then used a smaller piece of Whisper White and used the confetti die to cut through and see the layer beneath. When I did this I realised the confetti would be great in a shaker card so a duel use!

The “Happy Birthday” was stamped and fussycut, but the cake and balloons were cut out using the dies provided. I used some Fresh Fig ribbon to make strings for my balloons. Although the ribbon is only 1/8″ I actually cut it in half to get an even thinner string.

That’s all there is to it really! Quite straight forward but I really liked the result. These are two of my favourite colours, so although they’re retiring from Stampin’ Up! they’ll be sticking around for me 🙂
